Proofing

After your inspector finds all of the entry points, a copy of his report will be given to you and another copy will be given to our exclusion technician. The exclusion technician will repair and seal all of the entry points. This process is known as rodent proofing. Rats & mice can do a lot of damage! Rats can burrow through and chew wood, sheetrock, insulation, vapor barrier, a lot of other structural and stored items. They can chew entry holes anywhere from the ground to the roof and only need an opening a 1/4 of an inch to gain access.

Attic clean ups MUST decontaminate a home thoroughly after a rodent or pest infestation. If you are dealing with any rodent infestations chances are your attic can be a prime target area as access your home’s attic has access for rodents to sneak into your home through its entryways. Our service to stop the rodents from coming is called rodent exclusion or rodent proofing. Once the rodent exclusion is finished, we’ll access the damage in the attic and proper the necessary steps to clean up the infestation and replace what’s necessary.

Rats, among other rodents, are also known to spread Leptospirosis. Humans are infected through contact with water, food, or soil containing urine from these infected animals (i.e. rats, mice). The disease can also be transmitted through direct contact with urine, blood or tissue from an infected animal. The bacteria can enter through broken skin or through the soft tissues on the inside of the mouth, nose or eyes.
